In keeping with our commitment to provide superior care, Silver Care Center is proud to offer The Atrium, one of the largest state-of-the-art sub-acute/rehabilitation centers in South Jersey. Our goal is to help each patient reach their highest level of functional ability while re-establishing the safest active lifestyle possible once they return home.
Quality Care in a Home-Like Setting
Located in a separate and distinct building, The Atrium accommodates 62 patients in a warm, home-like setting. During rehab, we strive to make the patient as comfortable as possible while offering them the best quality care. Each patient's area includes piped in oxygen, a bedside phone and individual color cable TV. Beautifully appointed areas such as a community lounge with cozy, stone fireplace, café and library are found throughout and are perfect for gathering with friends and family, or catching up on some reading or a movie. Our lovely dining room provides a varied menu with waitress service. An onsite beauty/barber shop is conveniently located on the unit. Silver Care Center also has its own dialysis unit where our subacute patients can receive necessary treatments coordinated with their rehabilitation schedule, without leaving the facility.

Personalized Care Plans
A Care Plan is developed for each patient by our interdisciplinary team of specialists. Care Conferences are held bedside where patients and their families can discuss their progress with the Rehabilitation Physician, Therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Specialized Care
Our specialists work together to help make the patient's recovery as speedy and successful as possible.
Physical Therapists work with the Rehabilitation Doctors in gait training, stair management, endurance and therapeutic exercises. If indicated, the physical therapist will work with the Rehabilitation Physician in ordering and fitting patients with custom braces and prostheses.
Our Occupational Therapists help patients achieve independence in activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, kitchen and household mobility. Within our Occupational Therapy Department you will find a bathroom and large working kitchen in which patients can practice their skills to prepare for a successful return home.
Speech Therapists treat deficits in speech, swallowing, comprehension and thinking skills.
Our therapists will work with family members to provide training and ordering of the necessary equipment to return home. Home evaluations are done as necessary.
The Social Service Department is available to assist you with the discharge planning process.
