Continuing to recognize the needs of our community, Silver Care Center offers The Arbors long-term ventilator care unit.

Specializing in ventilator management, tracheostomy and airway care, our highly skilled medical staff includes respiratory therapists, skilled nursing, pulmonary physicians, and experienced staff members to care for all of our respiratory residents.
Using an interdisciplinary program, an individualized care plan is developed, taking into consideration the resident's entire medical requirements.
The Arbors is equipped with high performance, lightweight, and easily transportable ventilators, capable of ventilating the most difficult respiratory patient. The unit also is designed with a state of the art low pressure monitoring system, for the safety and security of our residents.
Offering our residents the highest quality of care, additional on site services include blood gas acquisition and analysis, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation therapy and kidney dialysis.
Utilizing our large, comfortable day room, our activities staff provides special events, including live entertainment, religious observances, and programs that involve The Arbors residents with other residents and family members.
The Arbors accepts a broad range of patients, including those who show potential for weaning from the ventilator and those who are unlikely to be weaned and are needing long-term care placement, offering the residents a wide range of therapies to improve their quality of life.
The pulmonary physicians, along with our experienced respiratory and nursing staff, have been successful with weaning patients from ventilator support, oxygen therapy, and the discontinuation of artificial airways. This has proven to be instrumental in improving the quality of life for our patients.
